Kildare County Council has launched a new music programme in Naas General Hospital, which will see trained musicians working in the field of arts and health visiting selected inpatient wards and the day hospital.
Sharon Murphy and Sadhbh O’Sullivan (arts and health specialists) together with Eric Hanlon and John O’Neill (community musicians) are delivering the programme. The team of musicians are supported by KCC in their work with other projects in the county, such as Past Times Community Choir in Naas, Voices of Spring Community Choir in Celbridge and a Music in Nursing Homes programme. The musicians look forward to engaging with as many patients and staff members as possible between now and the end of the year.
This programme is supported by the Arts Council, Kildare County Council, HSE, Healthy Ireland and Friends of Naas Hospital.
