Helium Arts, the national children’s arts and health organisation, invites applications from multidisciplinary artists with a participatory arts practice to join an artists’ panel and training programme for Helium’s future Midlands Children’s Creative Health Hub. Applicants must have experience of working with children and young people and an interest in the field of arts and health.
Helium Arts is specifically seeking artists who have proven experience of working collaboratively and who are excited about working across artistic disciplines. This opportunity is for artists resident and working in Westmeath / Longford / Laois / Offaly.
Helium Arts supports children living with long-term conditions, decreasing isolation and increasing wellbeing, through quality arts programmes. Helium’s Creative Health Hub model is an exciting new approach to bringing their multidisciplinary creative projects to many more children and teenagers across Ireland. The Creative Health Hub model was established in Limerick and Cork in 2019, with artists delivering a continuous programme of activity connecting hospitals, community and public settings.
The Midlands Creative Health Hub training is supported by funding from Westmeath Arts Office through Creative Ireland.
Please contact Gemma Rhatigan at gemma@helium.ie to request the full role description and application process.
Deadline: Monday, 7 October 2019.
