Helium Arts, the national children’s arts and health charity, invites applications from multi-disciplinary visual artists to join their artist panel as Associate Artists. Candidates must have a strong collaborative and inclusive arts practice working with children and young people.
Artists will be contracted on a project to project, freelance basis over the next two years, to deliver Helium’s Creative Health Programme in community settings in Cork, Limerick, and Galway, and surrounding counties.
The role of Associate Artist is to deliver inspiring collaborative arts programmes which are responsive to the needs and vision of children and young people living with long-term health conditions, including those with additional needs and disabilities. Artists should have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and a working understanding of inclusive arts practice relevant to the needs of participants.
Training and continued professional development will be provided, with up to four required training days to take place in early 2021.
Deadline for applications
The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 5 November at 5pm.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview and to attend an interactive workshop.
