Tallaght University Hospital’s opening exhibition of 2023 is A Geometric Progression, a collection of visual artworks by GRID Collective.

On display on Hospital Street until 30 April, the exhibition illustrates the evolution of GRID Collective over the past six years, with new works by the collective’s members, Helen Blair, Mary Catherine Nolan, and Fifi Smith, and several pieces demonstrating the ethos of the collaborative process.

Collaborating with Arts Officer Alison Baker Kerrigan to curate the 40 pieces on view has given us the opportunity to see our art with a fresh, and often revealing, perspective. And while holding the exhibition in a hospital environment has made us more aware of the specifics of certain locations, it has also opened us to new ways of presenting, and indeed interpreting, our artworks. – GRID Collective

The GRID Collective manifesto is beautifully simple, Collaboration–Disruption–Creativity, openly inviting the viewer into a visual conversation as the artists explore the push and pull between formality and randomness.

A Geometric Progression is supported by the Meath Foundation.
