Where Art meets Science at Dr Steevens’ HSE Library: Culture Night 2023

Join the HSE National Librarian, Aoife Lawton, and library staff on Culture Night for half hour tours of Dr. Steevens’ HSE Library and the hospital cloister. One of Ireland’s most significant eighteenth-century medical establishments, Dr Steevens’ Hospital is now the administrative headquarters of the HSE.

Each tour will include a short presentation in the HSE Library, which will outline the history of Dr Steevens’ Hospital building, and the often overlooked connection between Art and Hospitals. This will be followed by a brief tour of the historic Hospital cloister.
