This short film documents a 3-day music residency entitled ‘Music in Hospitals – 7 years on’ which took place in May 2013 and was hosted by the Waterford Healing Arts Trust. The residency project was an opportunity for Waterford based musicians Liam Merriman, Mary Prendergast and Leah Clarke along with visiting musicians Ros Howley (Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester), Philippe Bouteloup (Music et Sante, Paris) and Kevin O’Shanahan (Music Alive, Cork) and Eamon Sweeney (Wicklow) to reunite 7 years after the hugely successful ‘Music in Hospitals’ project in 2006 to showcase and share how their work has progressed in this area in the intervening period. The project was funded by the Waterford City Council and the Arts Council ‘s Culture Connects programme marking Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
